Staying at The Star Inn was a mixed experience. I really appreciated the beach service, which made my time at the beach much easier. However, the room layout was quite odd, with issues like a tiny bathroom and quirks in the room design that weren't evident from the photos online. The location was fantastic, close to everything I wanted to visit, but the amenities felt lacking compared to nearby options.

I recently enjoyed a family trip to The Star Inn in Cape May. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and Congress Hall, which is a big plus for accessing more amenities. However, while the rooms were comfortable, some areas, like the decor and bathrooms, felt a bit outdated and not as charming as I hoped. The staff, especially the concierge service, were incredibly friendly and helpful, which truly enhanced my stay. Overall, it was a lovely visit, although a few details could be improved. 😊
Rooms
8.0
I found the rooms comfortable but noted that some decor felt tired and dated. My family's suite in the Carriage House was functional, but the efficiency I stayed in had a worn area rug and an unimpressive bathroom layout. The beds were comfy, though.

I had a mixed experience at The Star Inn during my stay. On one hand, the location was fantastic, allowing easy access to the beach and shops. However, I encountered several maintenance issues in my room, which overshadowed the positives. The staff was friendly and accommodating, yet I feel that improvements are needed to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had some cleanliness issues, including noticeable stains on the couch and shallow dresser drawers. Additionally, the TV didn't work upon arrival, which required me to wait for maintenance rather than enjoy my stay.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, the maid service was minimal, and I had to ask for basic amenities like toilet paper, which was disappointing given the setup I expected.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach, making it easy for me to explore the area and enjoy beach time. It's definitely one of the highlights of my visit.
Dining
7.0
While there weren't dining options directly at the inn, the nearby restaurants provided plenty of choices, making it easy to find good meals to enjoy during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need some updates, especially the rooms. I was disappointed with the outdated feel and the issues I encountered. The potential is there, but more attention is needed.

My stay at The Star Inn had its ups and downs. While the location was fantastic, with easy access to the beach and local shops, some aspects of the room left me wanting more, like insufficient closet space and furniture that could use an upgrade. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which certainly enhanced my experience, but the room's cleanliness could have been better.

I was disappointed with the lack of amenities in the room, particularly the television that didn't work initially, and the old door sweep that didn't help keep out the cold. However, the hotel had a cozy atmosphere overall.

My stay at The Star Inn was quite the experience. While the cozy atmosphere and comfortable beds were highlights, my initial room was simply too small and quirky for comfort. However, after switching to a larger room, I appreciated the cleanliness and the convenient location near Congress Hall, though the limited amenities on-site were a bit disappointing.
Rooms

I started in a very small room that lacked space, but the staff quickly accommodated me by switching to a much larger and more comfortable one.
